Settlement processes were often convoluted because of differences among land policies of the several colonies claiming the land, specifically Pennsylvania and Virginia.Įach colony had its own means of either granting or restricting settlement opportunities. But, some of the land encompassing what is now the Coraopolis Heights, Thorn Run valley, and Narrows Run valley were claimed through the process of "Tomahawk Improvements", a non-specific and oftentimes contested method. Generally, the Pennsylvania Land Office apportioned land to owners through grants. On the southern banks of the Ohio, political disputes among settlers clouded the disposition of lands. Well, unless you prefer to be lied to & jerked around for 9+ hours, then sure go waste your time with them.In the face of this turmoil, Indian settlements of the south bank of the Ohio River typically relocated to more populous areas of the north bank in the current locales of Sewickley, Aliquippa and Ambridge. My sister & I both agreed we will NEVER buy from CarShop again or recommend anyone go here! Or at least the Robinson store & deal with Andrew. Not to mention my car & her car didn’t have the originally floor mats, but some cheap knock off set from lord knows where. When my sister had enough of the games she went down herself to get it this Saturday & again had to WAIT for the car to even show up!! When she got home, the bumper, which was supposedly getting fixed, was not even touched!! The inside was not detailed at all either. ![]() Not to mention he lied to my sister about delivering her car that day, which turned into Tuesday or Wednesday which turned into next Monday. At that point I was over it & just wanted to start my hour long drive home. Which I had to wait for, when they brought it back out, I could tell they did nothing to it. Not to mention the detail job on the outside of the car was garbage! I pointed that out to Andrew who told me he’d have them “redo” it. By the time I arrived Monday morning I was told it was at the other store in Cranberry & I had to do more WAITING. I hated the first car when I got home! I asked to return it, & was lied to about a different car being there. But Andrew didn’t even offer to go with me on the test drive either. Considering I wasn’t from around Robinson, I didn’t really take the car out of the parking lot, shame on me. The only thing I did like was the 5 day money back guarantee, so you can return the car. I spent all day there on my Saturday off, they have plenty of sales personal to help, but seems as if there is only 1 finance person? Not too smart of an idea. We both ended up driving BACK down a 2nd time. We both live over an hour away & made that clear. Not only did he lie to me, which I called him out on multiple times, he also lied to my sister who also bought a car there. His name was Andrew, & he was a liar from the beginning. I don’t know if it was the sales person (which I believe it was honestly) or just how this whole place works. Then it turns bad, or at least for me it did. At first it seemed like a great concept, no haggling on price, telling the person helping you the price range you needed & just having them show you the cars in that range.
